Understanding Hypnosis

Why hypnosis?

Hypnosis is a medical modality recognized by both the AMA and APA. It's a scientifically established, safe, and rewarding way of communicating with the unconscious mind—an easy and fast way to access and install new mental resources.

Is it real? Will it work on me?

It's effective on anyone who can follow simple instructions. Most people go in and out of trance unintentionally multiple times a day. Watching TV, taking a bubble bath, and driving are all hypnotic experiences. Few people are trained to use the power of trance to enhance their well-being—that's why I'm here to help!

What is the experience like?

It's surprisingly ordinary, almost like a conversation. People report feeling relaxed, focused, and supported, often coming out with a big smile. You remain aware and in control the entire time, and the trance portion usually lasts 10-20 minutes.

What are "content-free" sessions?

Content-free means you don't need to tell me the issue you're working on. Instead, I guide your unconscious mind to make progress without knowing specific details, using hypnotic trance induction, deep symbolism, and general changework concepts.

What to Expect

Your First Session

Every session runs about the same way. We'll arrange to meet either in a quiet, public area (like a library or quiet cafe), or remotely on Zoom. There will be an interview, then a trance experience, then a short wrap-up.

Important note: This is not counseling or talk therapy. During the prep interview, there is no need to provide all the details that come to mind.
